Thaxted is an English village in Essex. It is reached by bus from Stansted for about 2 pounds. The parish church is fascinating. On my first visit there, it was a beautiful day and the woman in the tourist information shop informed me that I was just in time, for one of the "Morris Men" was getting married. I went up to the church, and spent the afternoon at the outdoor wedding reception watching quite a few of the "Morris Men". They are something to see.
